Future focus:The inside story of how one of the oldest naval bases in the world is undergoing a digital transformation.

Laura Franks (Energy Services Lead for BAE Systems), will be describing how HM Naval Base, Portsmouth is well on its way to becoming a digital dockyard. Focusing on the shift to more sustainable operations and a reduced energy footprint, she’ll bring to life the challenges faced and the strategies being adopted to ensure this busy naval base continues to effectively support the giant Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers and advanced Type 45 destroyers at home and abroad.

Laura will be joined by her colleague Ken Hobbs (Energy Engineering & Technology Manager)  who will be answering questions and sharing additional insights into how BAE Systems is helping the Royal Navy transform the base to meet their net zero carbon ambitions.
