TechSolent : LEP Initiative and Future Planning

We have been quietly ticking along in the last year, and are really happy with the size of the community we have built to date. We are however looking to step up activity, so have agreed a plan with the Solent LEP (Press Release)to help drive improved engagement with the TechSolent community and start to make a difference. We are, in that context, keen to get your views on what you think of the local technology scene, and how you feel it could be improved to drive a more consolidated approach to delivering technology services within the region.

With that in mind, we are hosting an event on 10th October at Barclays Eagle Labs, Southampton . Solent LEP and the team as part of the new partnership have kindly given us some resource from Rich Burn and the Solent Digital Skills Partnership to help progress some activity. The aim of this initial event is to bring those together who would like to play a part in building back the community. You may want to just meet others and network, or add your opinion into future ideas and ways in which the Tech Solent community can benefit all stakeholders involved. Whatever your reason may be, we want to see you and hear from you.

After this meeting we will be galvanising your thoughts and suggestions and launching an initial x3 events across the Solent in Oct/Nov/Dec. The aim is to address some subjects and challenges that we all face and have a platform to discuss and look at possible solutions. We'd very much like your input on what these sessions are about, for instance do you want more information on a particular topic (AI, Augmented Reality, Quantum?), or just plain networking, or information on local projects?
